At Evangel, we have a variety of activities throughout the year...sometimes it's a church wide picnic, sometimes a friendly volleyball or basketball tournament, and sometimes an outdoor service. Those are just a few of the many opportunities for fellowship, building relationships, and having a lot of fun (all of which we at Evangel value very much). Most people think of Thanksgiving as a time to get together with family to give thanks for God’s provision over the past year (and of course to eat a great meal)…and well, we at Evangel agree. That’s why each year we have a Thanksgiving Dinner here at the church…so we can be with our church family, give thanks, and of course eat.
The play isn't always "pretty", but we sure do have a lot of fun attempting to just hit the ball over the net. The skill level varies for each person, the competitive drive isn't always the same, but the one thing in common for all the teams is a desire to have fun. We usually have a "round robin" format to determine positioning on the "championship bracket", so each team typically plays at least 5 games.
